Compliments for 177105/07

Morning,

The Tesla safety and ergonomics team send their compliments regarding the tooling for the Trim Press stations.
During the Safety/Ergo buy-off yesterday the Ergo representative noted that the handle and controls configuration will be used as a benchmark example of ideal lift assist design. They were impressed with the ability of the Knight designer to create a tool that is simple and safe to use with easy sight lines and locating features, especially considering the complex requirements given by Tesla.
Congratulations!

Knight Global-Premature Servo Chain Release

Hi Marc,

Thank you for your detailed response and for taking the time to outline the actions Knight Global has taken following the recent incident. I appreciate the clarity you’ve provided regarding the root cause and the corrective measures your team has implemented.

I’ve reviewed your feedback with the HD safety team, and as a result, we’ve been able to close out several of our internal actions. The team is now fully aware of both the root cause and the corrective actions you’ve put in place. Your commitment to safety protocols is valued, and I look forward to our continued collaboration.

Thanks again for your support.

STC – Lift Assist 2 Install Support

Jim,

Can you schedule a technician for installation support of our cell 2 lift assist. We will be starting the installation on Monday March 23rd.

If possible, can you send Dan Dennis again since he is familiar with the site, equipment, and installation team. Cell 1 installation went smoothly with him supporting last time.

Fuel Tank Lift Assist #174559 & Front Strut Lift Assist #175237 Tools

Hi Marc,

I was responsible for 3 replacement tools over Christmas shutdown this year and I wanted to take a minute to let you know that we had 3 successful installs and start ups! These tools, and the front strut tools in particular, were on a tight timeframe to ensure they were here to install for Christmas shutdown and once again Knight came through and met the timing to design, build, buy-off, ship and assist in start up of the tools.

I wanted you to know that as the project manager, Jim Muscat, did an excellent job of scheduling everything and meeting the timing. And, as to be expected, there were some things that showed up after install and once again, Jim and the team, did an excellent job addressing each issue as it came up in a very timely manner. I know that there is a whole team behind Jim that makes things happen, but I appreciate and wanted you to know, that Jim is always my SPOC for the tools. I call, text or email him what we see and he pulls together and does whatever is needed to address the issues. I really appreciate that Jim always has a customer first attitude, understands the pressures of Automotive production and always steps up to make sure whatever the issues are that they are addressed quickly!

Thank you for your time and thank you, your team (and Jim) for a job well done!

Thanks,

GM LDT GA Engineering Visit to Knight Friday 10/24

Glenn,

Thank you for hosting our team at Knight Industries. We really appreciated the opportunity and it exceeded our expectations. Troy from our Tech Support team attended as well, and his boss had recommended going to Knight Industries.

Thanks,

Thanks for reaching out Glenn, Both lift assists are installed and working well. We are still working on fine tuning the lids and other small unrelated items but it appears that everyone is happy with them.

Appreciate all of your help on them.

Thanks,
