Duties & Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Preferred Associates degree in Tool and Fixture Design, Mechanical Drafting
    • Enrolled students with at least 1 year complete can be considered based on experience.
  • 2-5 years of Industry experience in design, detailing, and mechanical blueprint reading.

Software Requirements:

  • Proficient in NX / UG / Unigraphics.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in Windows file management as it relates to design with CAD software.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel up to 10% per year may be required, as both domestic and international opportunities arise.
  • Driver’s License and credit card to procure a passport.
  • Performing off site tasks may be required.

Job Duties:

  • Review projects including quotes, job specifications.
    • Resolve any quote to job specifications differences.
  • Meet with the customers and design team members to develop solutions to problems that are presented.
  • Verify that planned solutions are ergonomically sounds when the solutions involve human interaction.
  • Show that planned solutions will work in a fully formed layout. (2D and 3D)
  • Understand the proper use of industry related hardware and actuators.
  • Read and detail mechanical drawings using:
    • ANSI and ISO Standards.
    • AWS Standards.
  • Release and follow projects through build and buyoff.
  • Create, organize, and manage final project documentation.
    • Drawings, Models, Instructions, and Manuals.

[Feb, 2021] Fabricator/Fitter (FF)

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • MIG, TIG, Gas welding capabilities
  • AWS certification a plus.
  • Capability to check own work against prints and meet ISO procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic Shop machinery such as cut-off saws, drill presses, lathes, press brakes, etc., a plus.
  • Must have own tools.
  • An experience level of five years minimum is preferred.

 

Job Duties:

  • Will be required to mock-up / jig a series of parts together to tack and final weld.
  • Will be responsible to complete the fit and fabrication of an entire product; this is not piece work.

Job Duties:

  • Represent Knight Global through its existing international distributors and future overseas clients.
  • Attend meetings with U.S. and overseas clients during their visit to Knight Global headquarters.
  • Explain how Knight Global equipment meets the customer’s needs.
  • Will be involved during Knight Global’s training sessions to its customers.
  • Responsible to communicate with Knight Global’s International Master Distributor in Italy (candidate must be fluent in Italian).
  • Interface with outside sales arm to support Knight Global products and services for the Customer and potential Customer base, including but not limited to development to optimize Customer processes and productivity, take measurements, interpret data, evaluate existing or potential production problems that may arise.
  • Assist Engineering and Manufacturing Departments with the preparation of Knight product and service presentations for existing and potential Customers.
  • Will work with Knight Global Engineering Mechanical and Controls Teams including attendance at design review meetings, obtaining and supplying Customer specifications and tracking milestones of project progress.
  • Will be the liaison between Customer Manufacturing Departments and Knight Global Management and Engineering Teams.
  • Will support Knight Global Management and Knight Global Customer base with project timing and cost constraints.
  • Will work with Knight Global Technical Support Team and its Customers during the install, debug and start-up phases of new product launches, including communications of contacts, timing, Customer specifications and final Customer approval follow-up.
  • Will complete documentation to show and ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations and protocols.
